Big Shot and Raw Vinyl

My Hall way upstairs has been needing some love for a long, long, long time. Yesterday I took the time to do a little decorating. Several months ago I started with the raw vinyl, my big shot, & the flowers decorative strip by sizzix so I decided it was time to finish what I started then I came up with the Idea to spell out Live, laugh, love on the wall then again an idea came to cut out butterflies using the SU! Big Z die.....Easy Peasy.

I had purchased some letters from Sizzix they are not my favorite because they are the stencil kind so you have to "build" your letters. I guess that is what I get. The Butterfly really set it off and looks so cute!

Whimsy STamps

Good Morning! First let me remind you that TODAY is the first day of the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog that will last for a WHOLE year not just 6 months!! If you haven't seen the catalog yet RUN to your phone and give me a call because it is a beautiful book with some great ideas in it.

Now on to my card for the day.

About a month ago I was on line browsing around and stumbled upon some stamps at Whimsy stamps and fell in love with the owl (along with many more that I didn't buy) lol! However, he has just sat on my desk staring at me begging me to use him. So, the other day I agreed to see what I could do, and here is what I did......nothing to difficult!
I used Dusty Durango cs as the base and stamped circle circus on the background added some brads and my greeting. The Owl is stamped in black and colored with SU! markers with basic gray and layered on Old Olive. I added some chocolate chip ribbon to the top and mounted my owl with dimensionals.

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Season of Friendship

This is one of those sets that I really loved working with in the Holiday Mini catalog and I was so disappointed when It didn't make it into the spring/summer catalog in January. However, It made it in the New catalog that will be available July 1st! I was so excited that it finally made it.

The base of this card is certainly celery with some of the new soft suede in color. I stamped my tree in soft suede and then started stamping leaves first all inked up and then a few with out re-inking. There is another tree stamp that has a tire swing with it and I thought how cute it would be to add a jumbo eyelet with some linen thread to make my own tire swing.

Happy Birthday, Abbie

Tomorrow is my dd 5th birthday!! My time flys anymore. The night before she was born I was awaken by a very very small earth quake. I felt my bed shake as if my little dog had jumped up on it. Several hours later my baby girl was born and since my world has been rockin. I think the earth quack was a sign from above!!

So keepin with tradition

Now:

Isn't she beautiful?! She is one of the best things in my life I am so blessed to be her mommy!
Happy Birthday, My sweet Abbie!

Cupcake Birthday

Another Birthday card! We can never have too many of these can we?

For this card I used a new set from the Level 3 hostess sets, The More the merrier. The cup cake are just sooo Yummy. If, you have already seen the new catalog then this card will look familiar. It was just so cute I had to make one for myself!

The base of the card is one of the new incolors Crushed Curry. I paired it up with chocolate chip, rose red, and Kiwi kiss......only because it that closely matches Old Olive. Then I colored my cupcakes with my SU! markers and added some glitter here and there.

Viola A birthday Card

I don't know about you all but it is going to be another HOT day here in Illinois! As I get a little older I have discovered I don't really like Illinois winters BUT I would much rather be cold that hot. I hate being hot. So, for today I think I will stay inside and do some stamping or scrap booking or.....Teach my 2 1/2 yr old dd how to use the potty. Yep, I am in the beginning stages of potty training she decided yesterday she was sitting on the potty. But, I have to say I hate the messes that go with it. So, If you all would say a little prayer for me today I would appreciate it. :)

Ok so since I also am going to want to stay out of the hot kitchen I will let my little fat chef do my baking today. Do you think I could hire him to bake Abbie's Birthday cake for this weekend too?! Well, one can hope anyway. Ok so back to my little fat chef

Last night I was browsing the new SU! catalog and I saw the little chef on a giant paper clip holding recipe cards (which is such a cute idea) and I loved how they had paper pierced him with so saffron dsp and little brads for his buttons. Then I really liked the lay out of another card that used the twill ribbon on a kraft base. A lot of casing going on here but I love how he turned out! I stamped Happy Birthday on the inside so he will be ready to go out in the mail soon.

Thanks for stopping by today Have a great day and stay out of the heat and happy stamping!

Another Sneek Peak

Wow Has it really been a week since I last posted any thing??? I knew that it had been a few days but a week???? Sorry about that I'll try harder this week...Promise

I really enjoy working with the circle circus out July 1st in SU! new catalog
Instead of going to the popular in colors for this I decided to use some old stand bys that are always lovely......Certainly Celery and Almost Amethyst. Very simple layout and I cased it from Splitcoaststampers.com

For those of you in my Scrap club here are the pictures of my completed pages as promised

Thanks for stopping by today have a great Monday and happy stamping!!
